Description:
Another very nice hole at the El Camaleón Golf Club in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, is hole 5. Greg Norman designed a double-dogleg, where the tee shot and the approach are reverse cambers. Maybe the hole is already a little bit over-the-top, but the relatively broad fairway makes the hole “playable”. The long par 4 is played into the prevailing wind. The hole plays left to right while the green sits right to left and is guarded on the left by a large bunker. The green is difficult to read and very well protected with the bunker and a water hazard on the left and dense mangroves on the right.
