News from #1s
I love when athletes "retire" at age 28. Seriously. Retiring from traveling around the world, playing golf, making lots of money, and competing at the highest level. I don't get it but apparently Lorena Ochoa, the LPGA's #1, has had enough for now.
I imagine she will catch the itch to play again someday though. She is way too young to let all the talent just sit there.
Either way, she had an excellent career with 27 LPGA victories and two majors.
For the first time, Tiger announced early that he will be playing the Players Championship and the AT & T National, where he is the defending champion. Things appear to be getting somewhat back to normal as he is playing in his regular tournaments. No doubt his main goal at this point is being fully prepared for the U.S. Open at Pebble.
