Description:
The 12th hole at Sperone is a 145-yard par 3 along the coast, where the tee shot must carry the Mediterranean Sea and typical Corsican maquis scrubland for almost the entire distance. From the back tees it is a stunning view and a very scary tee shot. The green is elevated, mall and very well protected with bunkers and maquis. On a windy day the hole can demand everything from a pitching wedge to a fairway wood. “The tee from 12 is one of the most beautiful in the world”, said Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the designer of Sperone.
