Luckily Galvin Green’s New Spring/Summer Collection has a range of kids clothing including waterproofs and windstoppers at very reasonable prices which satisfy his need to look good and mine to be practical.
My favorite items are the REX Insula Jacket. It has excellent thermal insulation properties exactly the same as the adult inslua jackets and an extremely high level of breathability with the ability to transport moisture away from the body. It makes a good intermediate layer on cold days or a nice outer on a warmer day.
This jacket is light, extremely comfortable and very soft to the touch. Luckily for me it’s also easy to wash and keeps its shape!
Perfect in combination with other Galvin Green garments in the multi-layer range and is Unisex so both girls and boys would feel comfortable wearing it.
The RIVER Waterproof trousers are a great source of protection from the wind and rain. The have exactly the same technology as the Men’s Waterproofs with a laminated GORE-TEX Paclite membrane.
The highly breathable material enables the release of excess heat and moisture and there are really light and packable. Perfect for being stuffed in and out of my sons golf bag!
They need to be extremely hard wearing and easy to wash and maintain which Galvin Green assure they are offering the same guarantee to keep you dry as with there whole collection of waterproofs.
The REMY Short sleeve T Shirt in red or blue is a nice little top made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. Great for sunny days or under a jumper or Insula.
The ROCK is a full zip completely windproof windstopper with a laminated membrane. It comes in plain black with a small Galvin Green detail on the arm. This is a great jacket again worn alone or on top of the Insula for cold winter rounds.
It has the same benefits as the rest of the Galvin Green range being having an extremely high level of breathability that enables moisture to be transported away from the body. It also has stretch options for maximum freedom of movement and swing so even though it is a top layer jacket it should not mean a restriction in swing. It’s Very durable and easy to wash and maintain.
Galvin Green garments are specifically designed for the game of golf by golfers for golfers and even though these are kid’s items they are still just as full of technology and features like all the adult clothing.
They have the same materials and comfort and design has obviously played a big part in this collection.
