It will be his first press conference since his win at the Australian Masters last November. Since his car crash, he has released several statements on his website, gave a televised apology, and was interviewed briefly by both ESPN and the Golf Channel.
Although many people may feel that they will finally get the answers they want out of Woods, he will only answer the questions he wants. He will not answer questions about personal or private matters, and will only go into detail when it comes to the actual tournament.
Arnold Palmer, host of the Bay Hill Invitational which is going on this week, feels that Tiger should be more open with the press. "It's up to him to do and say whatever he feels he needs to do to redeem the situation, put it in the proper place,'' Palmer said. "I suppose the best thing he could do would be open up and just let you guys shoot at him. And that's just my thought.''
Don't count on it.
Woods, who has won at Bay Hill a record six times, informed Palmer he was not ready to play yet. He decided to make his return at the biggest tournament in the world and will attempt to win his 5th green jacket.
