The SBS Championship begins Thursday at the Plantation course at Kapalua Resort in Maui as the 2010 PGA Tour season gets underway.
The limited field event features only players who won a tournament in 2009 with the winner taking home 1.12 million dollars and 500 Fed Ex Cup points.
The top two players in the world, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, will not be playing despite winning 11 combined tournaments in 2009.
The four major winners from 2009, Angel Cabrera, Lucas Glover, Stewart Cink, and Y.E. Yang will be playing this week.
Australian Geoff Ogilvy is the defending champion.
