Description:
Hole 15 is a long par 3 hole and is considered the best among Turnberry’s four par 3. It is the last hole of Turnberry’s Ailsa course which will be discussed. It is just another magnificent hole! The wind is often blowing into players’ faces and given a big fall off on the right side of the green, players will have to aim down the right hand side of the green, trying to cut it. The green is protected with three deep bunkers at the left and the rear. Between the tee and the green there is a devilish valley of thick rough. Hole 15 was not changed in advance of The Open 2009. Hole 15 of Turnberry’s Ailsa Course is listed as one of the 1001 golf holes you must play before you die by Jeff Barr.

Unfortunately, I was not able to make my own pictures when I was playing the Ailsa course in September 2009. Various pictures can be found on the internet.
